For the most part, moving can be a real pain in the you know what. Finding good Toronto movers, packing up all your valuables, dealing with lenders or leasers, cleaning up afterwards. The list of negative or less than fun things goes on and on. Still, moving provides a unique opportunity for some real positives and, if you approach it the right way, it can really improve your life. Outside of moving into your nice shiny new place, moving forces you to go through everything you own and thus allows you the chance to purge and simplify your life.
One thing almost everybody has way too much of is clothes. We here at Tower Moving Toronto, the best moving company in Toronto by the way, have a novel way for you to decide which clothes to keep and which to give away. It’s actually really easy; the only thing you really need is a little time. About three months before your move, turn all of your hangers backwards. Every last one of them. Then, just go on living your life like normal. As you wear clothes, just put them back on the hanger and turn the hanger back the normal way. After three months, when you are getting ready to move, the clothes that you never wear will be the ones hanging on backwards hangers. And it’s that easy. The decision on which clothes to keep was made for you. Pack up the ones left hanging backwards, bring them to a Goodwill, Salvation Army, family members, or something similar and breathe a sigh of relief knowing your closet is much less cluttered. You can thank us later but for now start flipping those hangers. Comments are closed.
